Obituary of Charles J. Lare

Charles J. Lare, 88, of East Norriton, PA passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. He was born in Conshohocken, PA on March 11, 1928, the son of the late Charles A. and Cecelia (Donovan) Lare. He graduated from St. Matthews High School, Conshohocken in 1946. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during WWII and was stationed in Japan during the Occupation. Charles has been living in East Norriton for 4 years, formerly of West Norriton, Norristown and Conshohocken. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, family and especially his grandchildren. In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. Charles was a Millwright and worked at Walker Brothers, Lee Tires and SKF Ball Bearings. Charles is survived by his wife of 66 years Jane M. (Crawford) Lare of East Norriton; Four daughters, Eileen Guarino (Frank Hempsey) of East Norriton, Kathleen (Joseph) Marcinek of Norristown, Patricia (John) O'Shea of Chalfont, and Jane Marie (the late Timothy) Lichty of Lancaster; Two sons, Charles G. “Bud” (Dolores) Lare of Harleysville and Michael (Jean) Lare of Royersford; Fourteen Grandchildren - Joseph and Philip Guarino, Christopher, John, Katrina and Nathan Marcinek, Tim and Matt O’Shea, Katlyn, Adam and Emily Lichty, Jessica, Brittany and Carly Lare, and eight Great Grandchildren. Two sisters, Catherine Smith and Jane (Michael) Blewitt; In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, James and John. His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:30AM from the St. Matthew RC Church, 219 Fayette St., Conshohocken PA 19428. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9 AM to 10 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428. Interment will take place in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
