Obituary of Joseph S. Lotito

Joseph S. Lotito, age 84, of Norristown, PA, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. A native of Pennsylvania, Joseph was born in Philadelphia on February 2, 1933, and was the son of the late Pasquale and Marie (Loddo) Lotito. He was employed at as a foreman at Victory Refrigeration in Plymouth Meeting, where he met the love of his life, Priscilla A. (Drozd) of Conshohocken. They were wed on June 3, 1961, and moved to Norristown, where they raised their family. He was also employed as a bricklayer at Kaiser Aluminum in Plymouth Meeting and a peanut roaster operator at Edwards Freeman in Conshohocken. Joseph was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to family parties and traditions. A devout Catholic, Joseph was an active member of the former St. Mary Church in Conshohocken, PA. He volunteered his time there maintaining the church and school facilities, setting up for various events, assisting the clergy, and acting as a Eucharistic Minister. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla; daughter, Michelle (& Barry) Edgar of Lansdale, Pa; daughter, Renee (& Jeffrey) Holdsworth of Royersford, Pa; and son, Joseph ( & Eleanor) Lotito of Edinburgh, Scottland; and sister, Pauline Lotito of Schwenksville, Pa. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Lindsay and Hannah Edgar, and Jessica Lawton; two step-grandsons, Kory and Connor Holdsworth; and a great-grandson, Damon Andress. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM from the St. Paul RC Church, 2007 New Hope Street, Norristown, PA 19401. Friends may call on Friday evening, September 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428 and on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 9:50 AM at the Church. Interment will take place at St. Benedict's Cemetery, Conshohocken.
