Obituary of Alice Hallman

Alice M. Hallman, of Hampstead, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2016. She was 84. Born in Conshohocken, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank Charles Cressman and Alice May (Hoagland) Cressman. She lived in Hampstead and Wilmington, NC since 1993. Formerly she resided in Medina, OH, West Virginia, and Audubon, PA. She was a member of Topsail Presbyterian Church in Hampstead, NC. She was a former member of the United Church of Christ in Medina, OH and Port Kennedy Presbyterian Church in Audubon, PA. In addition to her job as a fulltime homemaker and mother Alice worked in the travel industry and in cosmetology. Intellectually inquisitive Alice's thirst for knowledge led her to take classes as far flung as technology and cake decorating. She was a member of a local book club and the local garden club. Alice is survived by one son: Robert and his wife Pamela of Ft. Worth, TX. Four daughters: Cheryl and her husband Gary of Rocky Mount, VA, Cynthia and her husband Steven Jones of Edmond, OK, Pamela of Wilmington, NC and the Rev Carol D. Hallman of Salisbury, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and six great grand-children and her sister Arlene Crawford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, one son, Craig and 7 siblings. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa 19428. Her daughter, The Rev. Carol D. Hallman will be officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA.
