Obituary of James W. Cheri

James W. Cheri, 84, of Limerick, passed away on Thursday August 6, 2015. He was born in South Philadelphia, PA on July 1, 1931. He was a son of the late John Ann (Nixon) Cheri. A Korean War veteran of the US Army, he was a Championship boxer with the Army. He was a truck driver for well over 30 years. He was a member and officer of the Teamsters Local 500 of Philadelphia. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, he moved to Montgomery County in 1975. He was the loving husband of 51 years of Rosemarie (Goffredo) Cheri. He was a devoted father of three sons: The late Joseph Raimondi, Larry (Lori) Raimondi and Bobby Cheri. Five grandchildren: Lawrence, Tina, Anthony, Jimmy & Joseph. He was also survived by his brothers John and Edward, and his sister Anne and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Service will follow at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, Pa 19426. Interment will be private. Following the service, the family cordially invites everyone to join them for a reception at the Royersford VFW, 730 S. 4th Avenue, Royersford, Pa 19468.
