Obituary of Jose D. Ferreira
Jose D. Ferreira, age 83, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.
He was born in Telhado, Portugal on September 19, 1938, the son of the late Antonio C. and Cacilda (da Silva) Ferreira.
Jose has been living in Collegeville for 17 years, formerly of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Eleanor RC Church. He retired after a long career as a Press Operator with the Budd Co.
He was the husband of Maria L. Serra
He is survived by his wife, Maria L. (Serra) Ferreira; daughter, M. Celeste Ferreira-Cornwell; son-in-law, William D. Cornwell; granddaughter, Samantha Ferreira-Cornwell; and grandson, Zachary David Ferreira Cornwell.
Along with his parents, Jose was preceded in death by his brother, Augusto Ferreira.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM in St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.
Interment will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.
