I am a close friend of her son Westen and always appreciated how kind Vickie was when I interacted with her, I remember sitting with her at a church's Christmas breakfast brunch and her sharing about how proud she was of Westen. It is clear how much she loves Westen and how much he loves her, she will be dearly missed. <3

Vickie Jacox Babb was such a kind, loving human. She loved life. She loved her friends. She loved her boys and her grandkids. But the one that has always had her heart was who she called My Jim Babb. Her love for him could move mountains. I have never seen a love like theirs in my lifetime. It was amazing to know the backstory, and even more amazing to watch. How lucky am I?
I was fortunate enough to grow up with Vickie. We really got to know each other when I got moved to Lincoln elementary school. We hung out on weekends. We listened to the radio, danced and when we had some money we would go roller skating and dance. The common theme with Vickie was dancing, laughing and smiling. When she smiled the whole world lit up. We grew up going to the same schools, and I graduated with Vickie and Her Jim Babb. I have to say, our 1977 classmates are the best. When my mom had breast cancer Vickie was the first one to talk to me. She supported me. She encouraged me. She gave me hope. We reconnected after all those years. When my Mom died Vickie did the same as she did before she calmed my sorrows. Vickie believed in her faith. Her God. She helped so many people without even knowing she was helping. She was a true angel on this Earth. The past 7 years we have stayed in touch. At our last Class reunion we talked in depth. We hugged. We danced. We found out that we both share the same favorite wine. She still looked at her Jim Babb like it was the first time. Gosh I just loved it. Ok fast forward to the past two years. We texted. We messaged. We talked on the phone. We facetimed. Sometimes it was just to send old pictures back and forth. For example Vickie’s sisters brought some old pictures. Vicki found a special one,a girl with bucked teeth and braces, short hair and a big smile. Poof here I was watching tv and a text dings, and out of no where I get to see me buck teeth and all. Compliments of Vickie
Sometimes our talks was to encourage each other. Sometimes it was me listening to a dear friend that needed to be blunt and not worry. Sometimes I was a lifeline, but to be honest I think she was a lifeline to everyone who loved her. When my BFF and I went to The Wave Vickie was excited. So I took a picture of her. I Made it life size and told her she was going with us. And she did. When I sent her the pictures in each area we went, I said I thought about posting them online, she said DO IT! I could go into so many conversations that we have had this year but won't because those are private and held deep within my heart. I know Vickie believed God had a plan. I also know she couldn't have loved her family more than she did. And boy did she love her family. I also know that she loved her BFF more than any other friend. I know she loved me and anyone else she met. Vickie was a wonderful, most loving, kind, generous human that was an angel on this Earth. Now she is our guardian Angel, still listening, still watching, still loving, but now she is whole again, not in pain, and will be waiting for us when it is God's plan. I miss our text, I miss our talks, I miss her saying, Oh sweetie. I will end this with one thing that we talked about and also with how I ended our conversations. Love doesn't die. and love you always and forever
, Vickie was my hero, Jim Babb is my second hero. So I send extra love to JIm, AJ, and Wes and all the grandboys. I also send love to everyone that is hurting. Love doesn't die......Always and forever.

What an impact Vickie had on the staff and students at the Pathway School. She was the kindest, most compassionate and humble person that I have had the pleasure to know. Such a positive person...always with a smile. She truly cared about others. She always went above and beyond. Simply put...she made a difference in this life. We have all gained an amazing angel and those she touched will carry her with them always. She fought hard while on Earth but I know in my heart that she is at peace now. Sending my deepest condolences to her family this evening.

Vickie was a wonderful woman. Always had a smile on her face. I knew her in high school and worked several years with her mom, Shirley at Caron Spinning back in the 70's. So sorry to hear the news of her passing. Prayers are coming your way. May God Bless.
