Obituary of Rosina Forti

Rosina Forti, 84, of Philadelphia, PA passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024. 

She was born in Coronelle, Italy on November 23, 1939, the daughter of the late Luigi and the late Elena (Passalacqua) DiGregorio.

Rosina has lived in Roxborough since 1972 when she moved from Italy.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church of Manayunk.

As a young girl, she was a hard worker. Before moving to the United States, she worked in Germany. When she moved to Philadelphia, she began to work at Stanley Blacker and Botany 500 for many years. Eventually, after struggling with asthma, she retired and became a homemaker in her later age.  She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. 

She was the wife of the late Mario Forti.

Survivors include, Son Vince (Margaret) Forti of Plymouth Meeting, Pa, Son Gabriele (Gislene) Forti of Blue Bell, Pa, Brother Silvino DiGregorio of Italy, Sister Iolanda Tomassini of Canada,and  Sister Gilda DiFrancesco of Italy.  She is also survived by her Grandchildren Vincent, Sabrina, Anthony, Mario and Bella.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Gabriele DiGregorio and a sister Francesca Danesi.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM from St. John The Baptist RC Church, 119 Rector Street, Philadelphia, PA.

Friends may call on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the church. 

Interment will follow in Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
