Obituary of Antonette J. Maio

Antonette J. Maio of Norristown died on September 22 at the Brandywine Senior Suites where she had been a resident for the last 5 years. Ms. Maio was born in Scottdale Borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Grazia (Carfagna) Maio. She was93 years of age. Ms. Maio was a graduate of Norristown High School and worked for many years in the Prothonotary's office of Montgomery County. She was a faithful member of Holy Saviour Catholic Church in Norristown. During her down time, she enjoyed going to the casino, sewing, and she was an excellent cook. In addition to her parents, Ms Maio was preceded in death by her sister Mary Farina (Dominic) and her brother, Salvatore Maio, Jr. (Mary). She is survived by her nephews, Edward De Marco and Fred Farina, and by her niece Mary Ann Thompson. Also surviving are her extended family and devoted friends, Jane Duffin, Paul Duffin, and John Duffin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service, Wednesday, September 28, 7:00 PM at the Moore, Snear, and Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, E. Norriton, PA. Officiating will be Msgr. Charles L. Sangermano, pastor of Holy Saviour Church. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday. Interment will be private.
