LeRoy D. Todd, Jr.

LeRoy D. Todd, Jr., 93 years old and wearing out, of Audubon, PA passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024

He was born in Philadelphia, Pa on June 28, 1931, near the end of the Great Depression, the son of the late LeRoy D. and the late Essie (Long) Todd.

Like most families at that time he was raised poor but did not know it.  He grew up in the Conshohocken area and did not stray far.

Roy has been living in Audubon for the last 10 years, formerly of Lafayette Hill, Pa

He graduated from Conshohocken High School, class of 1949.  He recieved his Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Temple University.

He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.  Roy was a longtime member of the former Spring Mill Baptist Church.

He worked in banking started at Conshohocken Federal Savings and Loan in 1949 the bank became Freedom Valley Federal.  In 1997 Freedom Valley Federal merged into Commonwealth Federal and he was promoted various times and became a Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary with Commonwealth Bank, until his retirement.

Roy was Past President of Conshohocken-Plymouth-Whitemarsh Rotay and Past President of the Greater Conshohocken Chamber of Commerce.

He was the husband of Late - Mary (Hansell) Todd.  They were married on Nov 24, 1951 while Roy was in the service.  And at the time of her death in 2014 they were married for 63 Loving and Happy years.  They raised their children , went on great trips here and abroad, they enjoyed life fully.  Mary was always in his heart and their children are their legacy.

After her death he moved to Shannondell to live out the rest of his life.  Life must go on and he met a lady, a widow, who had mutual interests.  They dated, traveled and eventually cared for each other and her name is Bobbi.  As time went on age and close friendship drove them to mutual affection and friends and family supported their togetherness.

To love and be loved twice in a lifetime is truly a gift from God.

He loved Mary with all his heart.  I loved Bobbi with mutual affection.  And he wanted to Thank Bobbi for her love during our togetherness at Shannondell.
