Obituary of Leonard J. Messina

Leonard J. Messina, age 82, of Skippack, PA passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

He was born in Ambler, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1941, the son of the late Leonard and Anne (Serrao) Messina.

Len has lived in Skippack for 16 years, formerly of Flourtown, PA.  He was a parishioner of St. Eleanor's RC Church.  Len loved going to the movies, The Phillies, & most of all spending time with his family. He was known for his kind spirit, his sense of humor, and his devotion to his family.  

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maryrose E. Messina (née Carbone) of Skippack; son, Mark (Michelle) Messina of Horsham; daughter, Jennifer (Joseph) Boccella of Skippack; brother,  Russell (Dorothy) Messina of Ambler; brother, Peter (Marilyn) Messina of Pittsburgh; sister, Theresa (the late William) Germont of Ambler; and brother, Robert (Patricia) Messina Ambler.  He is also survived by five grandchildren, Alyssa (Gustavo), Alessandra (David), Dante, Isabelle, Joseph, and one great grandson, Caleb. 

His Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM from St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426 (https://www.google.com/maps/search/647+Locust+Street,+Collegeville,+PA+19426?entry=gmail&source=g).  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 at the church.

Entombment will take place in St.Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.
