Obituary of James J. Lare

James J. Lare, a lifelong resident of Conshohocken, passed away after a sudden illness on Saturday, February 2, 2013. He was 80. James was a retired machine operator with the former Spartex Co. of Conshohocken. Born in Conshohocken on August 4, 1932, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Cecelia (Donovan) Lare Jr. He was a life member of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church and a graduate of the former St. Matthew's High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and he will be sadly missed. J ames is survived by a brother, Charles J. (Jane) Lare of East Norriton; his sisters, Catherine Smith of Conshohocken and Jane (Michael) Blewitt of King of Prussia; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother John A. Lare. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass for James on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Matthew's RC Church, Third Avenue and Fayette Street, Conshohocken. The Rev. Thomas Heron, pastor, will officiate. Friends may call on Wednesday from 8:30-10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions in James' memory be made to: St. Matthew's RC Church, Third Avenue and Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
