Obituary of John E. Heffernan

John E. Heffernan, 77, of Coatesville, PA passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 29, 1939, the son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Waters) Heffernan. John worked for many years as a Union Iron Worker, Phila local 401 and as an owner operator truck driver with Robbin's Motor Transport. Survivors include his son, Bryan J. ( & Cindy) Heffernan of Collegeville, daughter, Teresa ( & Michael) Rewald of Willow Grove, two step sons, Michael Heffernan of Honey Brook, PA and Christopher Heffernan of Clearwater, FL, two sisters, Elizabeth Shay and Ivinetta Weeks; as well as his ten grandchildren, James, Tom, Jesse, Paul, Neena, Gabrielle, Teresa, Michael, Colleen and Amanda. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph E "Dewey" Heffernan Jr. and brother in law, Samuel Shay. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the St. John Vianney Church, 354 Youngsford Road, Gladwyne, PA 19035. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA 19428.
