He was a lifetime member of the Malta Boat Club on Boathouse Row in Philadelphia. He enjoyed running cross country in Fairmount Park. Arthur honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Obituary of Arthur C. Edginton

Arthur C. Edginton, 86, of Spring City, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2017 with his loving family at his side. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 13, 1931, the son of the late Ruth B. (Rumpp) and Edwin "Ted" Edginton. Arthur has been living at the Southeast Veterans Center for three years, formerly of Limerick and Schwenksville where he was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church. Arthur had a long career as a Building Engineer for Wanamaker's. He was a lifetime member of the Malta Boat Club on Boathouse Row in Philadelphia. He enjoyed running cross country in Fairmount Park and Valley Forge Park. Arthur honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Arthur is the beloved husband of 61 years to Catherine Edginton (nee Staub) of Spring City; Devoted father of Chris Edginton of Reading, Donna ( & Joseph) Scotti of Trappe, and Wendy ( & Andrew) Belew of Murfreesboro, TN; Brother of George W. Rumpp and Carol Murphy; Grandfather of Lauren, Hunter, Matthew and Jenna; Great Grandfather of Ava Grace, Brennley, Everly and Reed. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10:30 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Southeast Veterans Center Memorial Fund, 1 Veterans Dr, Spring City, PA 19475.
