Obituary of Evelyn Saad

Evelyn Wahba Saad, 89, of Lower Gwynedd, PA passed away on Sunday June 10, 2018.

She was born in Minya Egypt, on April 11, 1929.

Evelyn has been living in Lower Gwynedd, PA and formerly of Columbus, NJ.

She and her husband Alexander Hanna Saad were founding members of the First Coptic Church in New York and New Jersey.

They lived in Queens, New York from 1968 to 1988.

She had worked at ConEdison Electric Co of New York and was always an active member of the Coptic Orthodox Church throughout New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. Most recently at St. Mary & St. Mercurius Coptic Orthodox Church of Conshohocken, PA.

Daughter of the Late Wahba and Katrina Zaki.

Beloved wife of the late Alexander Hanna Saad.

Survivors include her Daughters: Iris (and Dr. Samir) Farag of Gwynedd Valley, PA Enass (and Robert ) Pappas of McLean, VA Also survived by her grandchildren: Jacqueline (and Robert) Eells, Dr. Christine Farag, James Farag, Thomas Farag, Katrina (and Captain David) Lertola, Andrea Pappas and Lauren Pappas.

A wake in memory of her life will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 7:00 PM at St. Mary and St. Mercurius Church, 209 West 5th Avenue, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Holy Liturgy Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 8:30 AM, followed by funeral services at 10:30 AM at St. Mary and St. Mercurius Church, 209 West 5th Avenue, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Fr. Andrew Mahrous will be officiating.

The burial will be at 1:00 PM Rosedale Cemetery, 750 East Linden Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036, followed by prayers and a reception after the burial at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Church, 433 Riva Avenue, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
