Obituary of Alice W. Wolfe

Alice G. Wolfe (nee Weckerly), age 92, passed away peacefully in East Norriton, PA on August 21, 2018 after a long illness. Daughter of the late John E. and Elizabeth (nee Ryerson) Weckerly, she was born in Philadelphia and raised in Ardmore where she graduated from Haverford High School. She worked as a secretary and served on the Ration Board during WWII. In 1946 she married the love of her life, Robert E. (Bob) Wolfe and they settled in Plymouth Meeting several years later. Alice was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, baking and singing along to music on the radio. She loved getting together with friends and family. Her favorite pastime was playing cards, which she enjoyed throughout the years. She will be missed for her caring and friendly personality. Mrs. Wolfe was predeceased in 1994 by her loving husband of 48 years, Bob. The youngest of four, she was also preceded in death by her brothers John and wife Willetta, Edwards and wife Alice, and sister Gertrude and her husband Louis. She will be sadly missed by son Robert W. of Quakertown and his son Alex, and by her daughter Susan DiSanto and her husband Frank of Woodbury Heights, NJ, and many loving nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the very caring staff of Towne Manor West where she was a resident for the past five years. Thanks also to the staff of Seasons Hospice who provided support and comfort in her final months. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
