Charles has lived in Conshohocken for over 35 years, formerly of East Falls section of Philadelphia where he grew up He was a graduate of Roxborough High School He was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken, Pa He retired from Arbinite Industries of Bucks County, where he worked as a boiler maker and previously employed by the former Rec-Pen of King of Prussia, Pa After retiring he worked part time with BJ Wholesale of Conshohocken, Pa Charles was an active volunteer with Conshohocken VFW Post 1074 He was a hard worker and worked to take care of his family, which he enjoyed spending time with especially his grandchildren

Obituary of Charles J. Ludwig

Charles J. Ludwig, age 63 of Conshohocken, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Bryn Mawr Hospital of Bryn Mawr. Husband of Evelyn A. (Gallagher) Ludwig. Born in Norristown on April 28, 1950, son of the late Edith (Caramenico) and Harold Ludwig. Charles has lived in Conshohocken for over 35 years, formerly of East Falls section of Philadelphia where he grew up. He was a graduate of Roxborough High School. He was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken. He served in the US Army and received Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He retired from Arbinite Industries of Bucks County, where he worked as a boiler maker and previously employed by the former Reco-Penn of King of Prussia, Pa After retiring he worked part time with BJ Wholesale Club of Conshohocken. Charles was an active volunteer with Conshohocken VFW Post 1074. He was a hard worker and worked to take care of his family, which he enjoyed spending time with especially his grandchildren In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter,Colleen Sherman of Philadelphia; sons, James (& Dana) Ludwig of Gilbertsville, Michael "Tug" (& Karen) Ludwig of Conshohocken, Charles (& Kelly) Ludwig of Trooper; brothers, Harold Ludwig of New Jersey, Kenny Ludwig of Virginia, and Dennis Trump of Pennsylvania. Also survived by 8 Grandchildren Angel, Christine, Justin, Owen, Gabby, Emma, Aiden & Logan. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a Sister Judy Ludwig. His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. from the St. Matthew's RC Church, Third & Fayette Streets, Conshohocken. Clergy: Fr. J. Thomas Heron officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. & Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken. Interment will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA on Friday May 3, 2013. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Autism Speaks, 1 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
