Obituary of Robert W. Kropp

Robert W. Kropp, age 69, a native of Bethlehem, Pa., and a Blue Bell resident for 40 years, died suddenly on May 4, 2013, at Normandy Farms Estates. He was the son of the late Charles C. and Eileen R. Hoffert Kropp. Surviving him are his wife, Eileen Hawk Kropp; daughter Christiana M. Woods; three sons, Karl, Bryan, and Erikk Kropp; and six grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Charles E. Kropp; and his sisters, Sister Regina C. Kropp, S.S.J., Margaret L. Stetz, and Eileen R. Sink. Mr. Kropp served at Normandy Farms Estates as the treasurer of the Residents Association and dedicated his time as a marketing volunteer. He was the principal consultant for Delta Consulting Strategies and held human resources management positions for Visteon Systems LLC (previously Ford Electronics) in the Delaware Valley, Indiana, and Thailand. Active in the community and educational affairs, Mr. Kropp served as founding chair for the Montgomery County School to Career Council; member of North Penn High School's Career Development Council, Montgomery County Community College Technical Curriculum Advisory Committee, and various Wissahickon School District committees. He was an officer on the Whitpain Recreation Association Board of Directors. Mr. Kropp coached baseball, including managing Whitpain Township's American Legion Baseball Team. He served as secretary-treasurer for the Greater Norristown American Legion Baseball League. Mr. Kropp received his bachelor's degree from Villanova University and his master's degree from Penn State University. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 10:30 A.M. at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Walton and Township Line Roads, Plymouth Township. Friends may call from 9:30- 10:30 AM. at the church. Interment will be private.
