Obituary of Carole McKay

Carole J. (Collins) McKay of Trooper, passed away on May 3, 2013 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. Mrs. McKay was born on December 9, 1934 in Harrisburg, PA., a daughter of the late Robert and Thelma Collins. She was 78 years of age. Mrs. McKay was a long time member of Crosspoint Baptist Church in Souderton. She enjoyed babysitting and she did so for over 120 children over the years. She also loved to shop. Mrs. McKay was the widow of William M. McKay who died in 2007. She is survived by her children; William McKay, Jr. (Teri) of Collegeville, Frank McKay (Julie) of Apple Valley, MN, Scott McKay (Darlene) of Harleysville, and Tami Pauley of Gastonia, NC. Also surviving are her siblings; Barbara McCabe of Enola, PA, Donny Collins of Florida, and Stephen Collins of Harrisburg; her 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty and by her brothers, Walter, Kenneth, Larry, and Bobby. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. from the Crosspoint Baptist Church, 64 Allentown Road, Souderton, PA. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Dooley. Friends may call at the church after 10:00 A.M. Friday. Interment will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories.
