Obituary of William C. Weidamoyer

William C. "Bill" Weidamoyer Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton surrounded by his loving family. He was 63. He was a security operations manager with Allied Barton Security Services of Conshohocken for over 15 years. He was the loving husband of 23 years of Alice (Medley) Weidamoyer. Born on Dec. 2, 1948, he was a son of Doris E. (Williams) and the late William C. Weidamoyer Sr. Bill has resided in Plymouth Meeting for the past 19 years, and he previously resided in Norristown and Conshohocken. He was a proud firefighter and life member of the Harmonville Fire Company No. 1. He was also an honorary member of the Philadelphia Fire Department and a member of The Citizens for Fire Prevention Committee of Philadelphia. He was a 1966 graduate of the last class of the former Conshohocken High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandsons. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by three daughters: Susan (& Frank) McKeever of Plymouth Meeting, Joanne Halls of Bridgeport, and Patti (& Chris) Frey of East Norriton; a son, Robert C. (& Christina) Weidamoyer of Washington Twp., N.J.; grandsons: Joey, Colton and Cooper; a sister, Barbara (& Michael) Lees of Harleysville; a niece, Debra Lees; and a nephew, Michael (& Beth) Lees. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service for Bill on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Moore & Snear Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken. The Rev. Ricky Ayala will be officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.
