Maria Jo was a kind, wonderful person. She will be greatly missed. Even before meeting her (at Vanguard) we spoke numerous times via telephone and email. She always had a smile and kind words. We will miss her at Vanguard.

Kind, humble, mentor, positive and always encouraging. Maria was the best. I know she and Cal are on the road again visiting more Civil War battlefields. We will miss you more than words can say. Thank you for the time we spent together. We will never forget you. Go in peace.8CSQLT

I will miss Maria Jo dearly. She was my mentor, someone I looked up to as a big sister. I will miss her homemade recipes spritual emails, and her looking after me when needed. God Has taken you too soon. I am very sad you are gone and will miss you dearly, but i believe God has a special plan for you in his kingdom for a special caring person like you. Love you're friend and coworker.

Maria Jo and I were the best of friends. She was always there for me and visa versa. I will miss talking to her on the phone and meeting with her, just to hang out. Maria was a kind hearted soul and always gave you a reason to smile, even if her day was not going so well. Maria was not only my friend, but my mentor as well. Rob & I always had a great time when we would be with Maria. I miss my dear friend, but I know she is now a "special" Angel in Heaven.
