Dear Cameron Family, I, Jailer Sanchez, and my wife Mabel Ramirez shared some time with Prof. Cameron when teaching at Ursinus College during 2009-2011. He was always willing to answer our teaching inquires and share his knowledge of Literature. We still remember when he invited us first time to drink a coffee and share his valuable time with us. We felt him always close to us and we really appreciated it. We just knew the sad news and we want to express our most sincere condolences on the death of Prof. Douglas.

Edith and Family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am honored to have known you and Doug over the many years taking care of your lawn. He is truly a man who makes you feel like you've known him your entire life. May his wisdom and warmheartedness be passed on to all. He has forgotten more than I will ever know. His fight was strong and you could tell he was "all in" with his love for life and you, Edith. I will always remember our talks.

My deepest condolences on Dr. Cameron's passing. I graduated in 1999 and did my Spanish honors thesis with Dr. Cameron. I was at the same time preparing for medical school and doing an honors thesis in Chemistry. Dr. Cameron pushed me to explore the artistic side of my education and it is to his credit that I can communicate with my Spanish-speaking patients today. What still stands out the most to me so many years later, is that he even came to my Chemistry honors defense and engaged in the discussion that followed, having heard about my project from me through the year. Another time, when I presented my work in Spanish, he sat with my parents and enthusiastically offered translation for them and assured them I was doing what he deemed to be a great job. We should all be so lucky to go through college with someone with this kind of passion and caring. Thank you to his family for sharing him with those of us who learned from him.
