Obituary of Christine A. Shields

Christine A. Shields, "Tina", age 71, of Collegeville, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 19, 2018.  

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 12, 1947, a daughter of the late Christian H. and Frances L. (Moore) Schmidt.

Tina has been living in Collegeville for 11 years, formerly of Plymouth Township.  She was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church of Collegeville.  

Christine worked as a Medical Assistant with Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 46 years, Jim Shields of Collegeville;
son, Brian C. Shields ( & Denisse Caminero) of Boca Raton, FL;
daughter, Christine L. ( & Bob) Murphy of Collegeville;
sister, Nancy Schmidt Logan ( & Joe) of Annamaria, FL;  
two brothers-in-law, Ed ( & Patricia ) Shields and Michael C. ( & Christina) Shields;
and two sisters-in-law, Judith Shields ( & Donnie Curren) and Winkie ( & Tom) VanderNeut.

Tina is also survived by two grandchildren, Gavin J. Murphy and Madison A. Murphy, as well as many other relatives and friends.  

Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, 11:00 AM at St. James Episcopal Church, 3768 Germantown Pike, Collegeville, PA 19426.   Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the Church.  Services will be officiated by Fr. Mike Sowards.

Interment will be private at a later date in George Washington Memorial Park.
