E. DeMares Pleat  

E. DeMares ( O'Connell ) Pleat, 87, of Collegeville, PA passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020. 

She was born in Engelwood, NJ on February 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Edward and the late Elizabeth ( Cullen ) O'Connell.

DeMares has been living in Collegeville for the last 6 months, formerly of Boyton Beach, FL where she had been living since 1992 and Long Island, NY where she lived and worked before moving to Florida. 

She was a School Teacher and taught English, Drama, TV & Radio with Plainview High School. 

She was the wife of the Late - Irving J. Pleat.

Survivors include, Step Daughter Joli (& John) Groomes of Schwenksville, PA, Step Son Bruce (& Arianna) Pleat of Danville, CA, and her grandchildren Emma Groomes, Evan Groomes, Elkan Pleat, Sofia Pleat & Jamason MacMillan.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister Eileen Strauss.

Her Memorial Mass will be held Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA.

Friends may call on Monday Morning, February 3, 2020 from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the Church.

She will be intered in Washington Crossing National Cemetery with her late husband at a later date.
