Obituary of Gasper A. Arena

Gasper A. Arena, Sr., age 93, of Plymouth Meeting, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Norristown, PA on January 21, 1927, the son of the late Pelligrino and Vincenza ( Guardino ) Arena.

Gasper has been living in Plymouth Meeting for over 50 years, formerly of Norristown, PA.  He was of the Catholic faith.  

Gasper was a hard worker and a self-made business man.  He will be remembered as a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather.    

Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Catharine Arena ( nee Shinn ) of Plymouth Meeting; son, Thomas (Mary) Arena of Port Indian; daughter, Virginia Arena Ostrowsky of Canada; daughter, Catherine Arena Dryslewski of Plymouth Meeting; daughter, Stephanie Arena DeCerio (Patrick) of Plymouth Meeting; and son, Michael Arena of East Norriton.  He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Along with his parents, Gasper was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Arena and Gasper Arena, Jr.; as well as grandson, Steven Gasper Dryslewski.  

Services will be private with entombment to take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.
