Hello Family,
Mom would have been 89 today and she would have hated that number. I think 88 was about right.
We will be going out to a restaurant as a family tomorrow to remember the many times we celebrated her B-day in this way. We are NOT going to William Penn Inn! But when I am 80, someone better take me there.
Hope you are all doing well even in 2020 – a year I would rather forget.
Blessings.
Scott and Jill

Never
Never drank much – some wine with dinner. Coffee was her drink of choice.
Never ate in excess and enjoyed vegetables over meat and desserts
Never would admit that she could not eat eggs
Never minded being the host at every holiday, that is what she lived for
Never served just one option at dinner but served many - too many - options
Never regarded serving others as a chore, but was the warmest hostess
Never let anyone touch her car except Browers
Never would skip out on an obligation or promise
Never used foul language unless you count the word Sugar
Never got off the phone quickly
Never wanted another dog but could not live without one
Never listened to Opera without the whole neighborhood hearing it
Never missed your birthday or anniversary
Never missed attending a graduation or a wedding no matter how far to travel or despite the difficulty physically in her later years
Never gave up on her children or grandchildren. I pity the person who hurt or harmed any of her children or grandchildren.
Never lost her faith in the love of God as perfectly expressed in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
“Love hopes all things, believes all things, endures all things, love NEVER fails.”
Mom, you NEVER failed us and you will NEVER leave our hearts.
