Obituary of Alex King

Alex King, born Albert Buddy Smith passed away on Sunday, 20 December 2020.

He was born in Milford, New Haven, Connecticut 6 July 1937 to Earl Frank Smith and Francis Margaret Stailing.

Alex was a US Navy Veteran and served in the Merchant Marines.

He was married to Rose Yvonne Maurer and later divorced with two children.

He later married Rita Smith who passed away recently.

Survivors in his family are Seray Y. Donohue, daughter and his sister Nancy Murphy plus 7 grandchildren, Melanie, Kristina, Michelle, Sandra, Jonathan, Tyler and Samantha and 3 great grandchildren, Alexxandra, Molle, and Vincent.  

He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Michael Smith, grandson, Christian P. Donohue, wife Rita Smith, and his parents.

He sailed the seas and had grand adventures in many islands and countries.

He loved HAM Radio, was a DJ for WPPA and WNAR.

Services and interment will be private.
