Obituary of Mary Ann Schaffer

Mary Ann Schaffer, age 87, formerly of West Conshohocken, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2022.

She was born in West Conshohocken, PA on November 18, 1934, the daughter of the late William and Mary (McCullough) Schaffer.

Mary Ann lived her entire life in West Conshohocken until moving to Shannondell at Valley Forge in 2018.  She was a former member of St. Gertrude's RC Church of West Conshohocken and a current parishioner of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken. Mary Ann worked for Bell Telephone until her retirement in 1988.  She was a member of the Bell Pioneers, West Conshohocken Hometowners and the Conshohocken Seniors.  

Along with her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brother, William (Ann) Schaffer.   She is survived by many cousins including Mary McCullagh of Clydebank, Scotland, Elizabeth "Betty" DiRita of Broomall and Betty's children, Jennifer (Matt) Dillon, Michael (Christine) Kulp, and Patricia (Rodney) Simon.   

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428.  Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church. 

Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
