Obituary of Robert R. Ross

Robert R. Ross, 69, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016. Bob was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 19, 1947. As a boy, he attended Girard College, and later grew up in Doylestown. He has lived in Blue Bell since 1987. In 1971, he married Nancy Boor, having first met her at West Chester University. Bob and Nancy lived in Paris for a year and after their return, they had three children. While raising his family, Bob was an outstanding salesman and achieved highest awards at multiple companies, including Pansophic and Candle. He had a talent for home improvement projects, and attributed it to his first job of building pools. Bob enjoyed skiing, playing golf, traveling, dancing, and sports cars, especially Porsche automobiles. He was a member of Cedarbrook Country Club, where he spent a lot of time golfing and attending events with his wife and their friends. Bob cared deeply for others. He was fun, funny and loving. Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Ross, his two sons, Justin (Ellen) of Bryn Mawr, and their daughter, Genevieve; Gregory of Blue Bell; his daughter, Monique Goldthorp (Scott) of Cherry Hill, N.J. and their children, Charlotte and Andrew, and his brother, Raymond of Arizona. In honor of Robert's life, memorial contributions may be made to Upper Dublin Lutheran Church. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the Upper Dublin Lutheran Church, 411 Susquehanna Road, Ambler, Pa 19002 The Rev. Keith Anderson will be officiating. Friends may call on Sunday Evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM & Monday, June 20, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the Church. Interment will take place in Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, Pa. Bob has lived in Blue Bell, Pa since 1987, formerly of Ambler, Pa and he was raised in Doylestown, Pa He attended Girard College He was known for being handy around the house and attributed it to his first job building pools with Sylvan Pool Company and worked in Sales with Candle Corp. and Bucks County Water Authority Bob enjoyed skiing and playing golf, traveling, and sports cars especially Porsche Automobiles He was a member of Cedrabrook Country Club
