Obituary of Gerald A. Leo

Gerald A. "Bud" Leo, age 86, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 1, 1937, the son of the late Gerald Lawrence and Dorothy Philomena (Piselli) Leo.

Bud has been living in Skippack Twp. for 21 years, formerly of King of Prussia and West Philadelphia.  He was a parishioner of St. Eleanor RC Church of Collegeville and a former parishioner of Mother of Divine Providence RC Church of King of Prussia.  He had a long career as a Procurement Manager for the Aerospace Division of General Electric.

Bud was an accomplished musician, performing for many years as bass player and lead singer for his band, The Executives. On weekends, Pop-Pop could be found on the sidelines or in the audience at his grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals and plays. A lifelong sports fan, he loved watching his hometown teams, including the Eagles and Phillies, and his adopted team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Leo (nee Brunner) of Collegeville; two daughters, Cheryl (David) Dachille of Collegeville, PA and Allison Mitchell of Sewell, NJ; son, Gerald M. "Buddy" (Alexis) Leo of Chester Springs, PA; and brother, Albert (Barbara) Leo of Gonzales, LA.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Megan McCabe, Kelli (Jason) Quinn, David (Megan) Dachille, Alex (Renee) Dachille, Jamie Mitchell, CJ Leo, and Michael Leo; and four great grandchildren, Parker, Abigail, Sofia, and David.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Roz Cirino.  

His Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:30 AM from St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday morning from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Church.

Interment will be private and held at a later date.
