Obituary of Carol Steel

Carol A. Steel, age 83, of Schwenksville, PA passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at her residence.

She was born in Sewickley, PA on November 9, 1940, the daughter of the late Samuel Gibson Armstrong and the late Helen E. (Burns) Armstrong. Carol, formerly of Huntingdon, PA had lived in Schwenksville for over 30 years.  She briefly attended Juniata College where she was later employed as a secretary. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and later retired from Unisys in 2002. 

She is survived by sons, Timothy Ellis (& Susan) Steel of Greensburg, PA and Michael Sean Steel of Port Tobacco, MD; brother, Gibson Edward Armstrong of Refton, PA and sister, Jean Anderson of Collegeville, PA.  She is also survived by her granddaughter, Lauren Alexandra Bryan; grandson, Ian Michael Haring Steel; and three great grandchildren, Charlotte Marie Bryan, James David Bryan, and Adelaide Katherine Steel.

Carol's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Tunnel to Tower (T2T.org)
