Obituary of Helen P. Foelker

Helen P. Foelker  

 

Helen P. (Kennedy) Foelker, 81, of Harleysville, PA passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024

She was born in Burlington, New Jersey on January 23, 1943, the daughter of the late James and the late Elizabeth (Duncan) Kennedy.

Helen was living in Harleysville, Pa for the last 3 years, formerly of Lansdale and East Norriton where she lived most of her life.

Helen was a very active member of the United Methodist Church of Lansdale and enjoyed Bible Study with the ladies. 

She enjoyed bowling at Facenda Whitaker, playing cards and pictionary and was a member of the Sesquin Dye-hyards of Norristown, Pa, and also enjoyed going to the casinos.

She enjoyed traveling and took various bus trips with friends.  In her younger days, She once appeared On American Band Stand, and enjoyed gardening, going to the beach and spending time with her family especially her grandsons. She enjoyed every Sunday going to her daughter's home for dinner and watching Eagles, Phillies and Sixers. 

For the last 3 years Helen lived at Birches in Harleysville where she made many new friends and enjoyed the activities.    

 

She worked as a Claims Specialists with an insurance company.

 

She was the wife of Late - Harley M. Foelker.

 

Survivors include, Daughter Phyllis (Daniel) Bowers of Perkiomenville, Pa, Brother William Kennedy of Burlington, NJ, also survived by her Grandchildren James (Tessa) Bowers and Colin Bowers, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 2 sons Brian D. Foelker and Scott J. Foelker, and her siblings James Kennedy, Betty Jungblut, Tom Kennedy and Robert Kennedy.

 

Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA.

Friends may call on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

 

Interment will be private.
